Crown Heights’ Cheder Ohr Menachem has initiated a new hands-on arts program for their students from first through seventh grade.

According to a recent letter from Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz, the cheder is “committed to develop special and healthy experiences of art and creativity, as well as training the boys to use their talents.”

After the smashing success of the school’s choir program, the staff decided it would be beneficial to introduce programming that will enhance and develop students’ personal talents and abilities.

Each grade is slated to have two art sessions per month. Each session will introduce to the students a project related to chassidishe holidays, as well as whatever subjects the boys are covering in class, allowing them to bring the concepts they learn to life.
