Driver Rams City Bus in Crown Heights, Pulls Gun
Earlier this morning, Wednesday, a driver rammed his car into a city bus on the corner of Brooklyn and Empire before fleeing on foot. Police cought up with him on the corner of Brooklyn Av. and Montgomery, where he reportedly whipped out a gun. Police fired at the perpetrator just in time • Full Story, Photos, Video
What began as a police car chase quickly escelated into something else, as the driver of the fleeing vehicle rammed into a city bus, on the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and Empire Boulevard, in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.
The perpetrator, described as an African American male in his late 20s, then exited the vehicle and continued to flee on foot. Police managed to catch up to him on the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and Montgomery Street, where the perpetrator pulled out a gun.
Early reports suggest the perpetrator pulled out a gun, at which point police opened fire. The perpetrator was wounded, and treated by EMS at the scene. He is now in police custudy. No police personnel have been injured.
