After making a mandatory dorm for all Bochurim in the Zal following a confirmed Covid-19 case, Oholei Torah Zal sent out an email to parents today that the Zal is closing for the duration of Tishrei and all Bochurim are required to quarantine.
Below is the letter that the Oholei Torah administration sent to parents:
Dear Parents,
As you have been informed we have been dealing with a few bochurim testing positive for Covid-19. The Zal has been on lockdown and quarantining for the past few days.
With Yomtov approaching and bochurim wanting to be with family, we are giving the option for the boys to safely quarantine at home. To make this possible, parents must sign a release form ensuring their son has proper transportation and will quarantine safely.
For those that will not be able to quarantine safely at home, the yeshiva will keep the Zal apartments open through Simchas Torah. We will provide food, sukkah and do whatever we can to make sure the boys are comfortable. Bochurim are required to adhere to the CDC guidelines and follow the quarantine rules. As per Dept of Health, having antibodies is not an exception.
**Its important to note that the DOH may be visiting homes to make sure your son is quarantining properly.
