El Al will begin a trial on organized in-flight minyanim during its long-haul flights between Tel Aviv and the United States. Under the trial, the minyanim will be held in the galley in the back of the aircraft and will not allow the tefillos to spread out of the galley and into the aisles. An emotional and touching ceremony took place last week in the courtyard of the Yekaterinburg Grand Synagogue and JCC. Stones were laid for the construction of a Holocaust Memorial Monument and tribute to the Red Army for their part in fighting the Nazis and liberating the death camps. Rabbi Yosef Wolf, Shliach to the Eastern Ukrainian city of Kherson, told Kol Chai Radio: “As faithful shluchim of the Rebbe, we don’t even have the privilege of thinking about leaving. We’re the main support of the local Jewish residents and we’re staying with them.
