Rabbi Avrohom Yusewitz, Shliach of the Rebbe MH”M in Woodbridge, Ontario north of Toronto, snapped a picture of police officers, who will be assisting him in delivering hundreds of special Rosh Hashana gift bags to spread out members of the local Russian Jewish community.
Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Karnaukh, Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan’s capital city Nursultan, captured a photo of the city’s grand synagogue, currently surrounded by scaffolding as it goes through a major facelift. Chabad Nursultan serves hundreds of locals, as well as thousands of Jewish visitors and foreign diplomats.
The German speaking countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland, are home to around 200,000 Jews with many shluchim with Chabad Houses, shuls, kindergarten, schools, shiurim and other activities. Chassidic books are being published in German en masse. HaYom Yom is now also available as a podcast in German every workday on all major podcast platforms, available to inspire the German speaking listener.
While wildfires rage outside of Yerushalayim, Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Naftalin, Director of “Lev Chabad” in the city’s Hadassah Hospital, took an opportunity today to blow shofar for the brave firemen working tirelessly to stop the blaze. The fires have caused the evacuation of several Jerusalem area neighborhoods, and is rapidly approaching the hospital.
Rabbi Shneur Wolf, Shliach in the pristine Flathead Valley in the State of Montana, snapped a Tefillin selfie in the beautiful Glacier National Park. The Flathead Valley has a small Jewish population, but has become a popular destination among Jewish tourists.
The experienced staff of Crown Heights’s Cheder Ohr Menachem posed today for a group photo at the yearly Kinus Hamechanchim. The cheder’s staff, together with tens of other mechanchim, spent the last few days recharging for an amazing new year of learning, which for students of Ohr Menachem begins tomorrow.

After a beautiful kinus in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Senior Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar visited the city’s central Chabad House to meet with local Shluchim, Rabbis Yeshaya, Elchonon, and Mordechai Cohen, as well as Rabbi Saadya Liberow (not pictured), who have dedicated their lives to uplifting Almaty’s local community, bringing them closer to Yiddishkeit and Chassidus •
