One of the primary things we want to imbue in our children is being a Mensch and having good middos. As the Rebbeim emphasized that middos is a critical part of a child’s chinuch.

To this end, Igud Hamelamdim is proud to present “Making Menschen,” a three part webinar series on the topic of mentschlikeit and middos tovos.

Presenting the course will be three top mechanchim: Rabbi Michoel Gourarie of Sydney, Australia, sought after mechanech and mentor; Rabbi Zalman Schapiro, longtime popular mechanech, Nyack NY; and Rabbi Shmuel Wagner, popular mechanech, ULY Ocean Parkway.

The course will give teachers the knowledge and skills to identifying various middos and their practical application, including:

    • דרך ארץ – Respect for parents, teachers, and elders
    • נהגו כבוד זה בזה – Respecting each other
    • נושא בעול עם חברו – Sympathy / Empathy
    • תיקון המידות – Dignity
    • and more.

During Sefiras HaOmer is a most appropriate time for such a course. During sefira, we are encouraged to work on middos in preparation of Matan Torah. It is also the time when we mourn the students of Rebbi Akiva who passed away and improve in ahavas Yisroel.

The series is arranged by Igud Hamelamdim. Igud director Rabbi Avrohom Bluming is enthusiastic about the transformative course and their ability to empower teachers to make their students into “menschen.”

The course will take place over three Tuesdays evenings – Iyar 9, 16, 23 – 8:30-9:30 PM

Detailed handouts with every webinar and session recordings are available to all participants.

Webinar cost is $50. Early discount is available until Sunday 7 Iyar.
