With much sadness we inform you of the passing of R’ Velvel Pesach Marantz, OB”M, of Kfar Chabad. R’ Velvel was a beloved baal mengaen.
He passed away Friday night of Parshas Bamidbar after counting Sefira. He received a special Bracha from the Rebbe to spread Chassidus through music. Every year he would prepare a Niggun for the Rebbe’s Kapital.
He is survived by – yibodlu l’chaim tovim – his wife Sheindel Reizel. His sons R’ Reuvein, R’ Tzvi and R’ Yitzchok all of Kfar Chabad. His daughters Feiga Galzumitski (Yerushalayim) and Chava Bronstok (Tzefas).
The levaye took place yesterday, Monday morning at 10:00 AM, leaving from his home in Kfar Chabad, and continued on to the Bais HaChaim in Moshav Achiezer.
The family is sitting Shiva in Kfar Chabad.
