Ad Mosei?! With great sadness we regret to inform you of the untimely passing of the Rebbe’s Shliach, Rabbi Mordechai (Motti) Anati, OB”M, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He passed away this morning, the seventh of Av. He was 67-years-old.

Rabbi Anati has being feeling slightly weak in recent weeks, and this morning unfortunately he did not wake up.

He was born on Chof Ches Teves, 5713, and came close to Lubavitch in 5730. There is a video of Reb Motti passing by the Rebbe at ‘Sunday Dollars’ and asking the Rebbe to be a Shliach, and the Rebbe responds: Amen, B’suros Tovos.

In 5753, he opened the Moshiach Center of Fort Lauderdale, with the Rebbe’s Brocha. He also established many Chabad organizations, including his well-known Smicha program.

The Smicha program was under the Rosh Yeshiva of 770, Rabbi Zalman Labkowski. Rabbi Yehuda Kalman Marlow was very involved in Rabbi Anati’s activities for many years.

For many years, he would bring groups of Jews to the Rebbe, his primary focus was with the many Israelis in the area.

He is survived by his wife, and children; Bentzion Anati and Chana Gajer.
