At the levaya for HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner ZT”L, Ichud Hatzalah reports treating 113 victims including a young man who died of his massive injuries resulting from being crushed. Some of the injured were listed in critical condition and today, Sunday, 16 Nissan, one remains in critical condition.
After some two hours of CPR and advanced life support resuscitation efforts, avreich Mordechai Gerber z”l, 27, of Elad was niftar. Moti was a talmid of Rav Wosner. He learned in Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin.
Many tens of thousands of mourners took part in the levaya, including former talmidim from around Eretz Yisrael. In recent years he worked in the Khal Chassidim Talmid Torah in Elad and was highly regarded among the young mechanchem. He is survived by his young wife and a three-year-old boy.
The person in critical condition is an 18-year-old with severe head injuries who came back after CPR. In addition, there are two persons listed in serious condition, both suffering from head injuries, one 36 and the second a bochur 14.
