With great sadness we inform you of the passing of the senior Shlucha to Melbourne, Australia, Rebbetzin Devorah Groner, OB”M. Rebbetzin Groner passed away Sunday morning in Australia, 13 Sivan. She was 92-years-old.
Rebbetzin Groner devoted more than 50 years of her life to Australian Jewry, together with her deceased husband and senior Shliach, Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Groner, OB”M.
Rebbetzin Groner was the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Tzvi and Bryna Konikov, a devoted Chosid and one of the earliest Chabad activists in the United States.
She is survived by her children; Rabbi Sholom Ber Groner – South Africa; Mrs. Miriam Telsner – Melbourne, Austarlia; Mrs. Shterna Zirkind – Crown Heights; Rabbi Yossi Groner – Melbourne, Australia; Mrs. Chaya Haller – South Africa; Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Groner – Melbourne, Australia; Mrs. Rivkah Yurkowicz – Melbourne, Australia; and Rabbi Mendy Groner – Melbourne, Australia.
She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
