With sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Sholom Levertov, OB”M, a longtime resident of Crown Heights. He was 89 years old.
He moved to Crown Heights, after being born in the Soviet Union and then escaping to France.
He is survived by his wife Pesha and their children, Rabbi Zalman Levertov – Phoenix, AZ; Mrs. Baila Vilenkin – Crown Heights; Rabbi Dov Ber Levertov – Crown Heights; Mrs. Yehudis Lieberman – Ashkelon, Israel; Mrs. Devorah Leah Dechter – Crown Heights; R’ Shaul Levertov – Crown Heights; and Rabbi Yossi Levertov – Scottsdale, AZ.

It’s very very sad, ppl today are living way past 90, like 93, 94, 95, even 97 & 98, 89 today is considered young compared to ppl living past 90, I wasn’t expecting to hear this news, Reb Shalom Levertov was a really nice man, always polite, I can’t believe that hes gone now, we are losing the older generation from after the war, please G-d send us MH”M (Melech HaMoshiach) now so that we could go back to our Real True Home, Yershalayim, end this Galous already, so ppl could live forever as it says, thank u
