Rabbi Shalom Hillel, a senior Chabad Chossid from Lod, Eretz Yisroel, passed away on Wednesday, 8 Cheshvan, 5783.
Rabbi Shalom Hillel served for many years as the Gabbai at the central Chabad shul ‘Beit Aryeh’ in Lod.
He is survived by his wife Rivka Hillel and children Rabbi Aharon Tzemach Hillel – Barkat, EY; Orit Cohen – Kiryat Malachi; Rabbi Levi Yitzhak Hillel – Crown Heights; Rabbi Yishai Hillel – Tzfas; Shoshana Lederman – Lod; Rabbi Shmarya Hillel – Lod; Nechama Hillel – Barkat; Odelia Minsi – Barkat; Rabbi Itamar Hillel – Lod; and grandchildren.
His funeral took place today (Wednesday) in Israel.
