With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Baumgarten, OB”M, a Crown Heights resident. He passed away on Friday, 3 Adar I. He was 92-years-old.
Rabbi Mendel Baumgarten was a well-known Ba’al Chesed, who would host many guests in his home, together with his wife.
He was predeceased by his wife Mrs. Nechama Baumgarten.
He is survived by his children Rabbi Yossel Baumgarten – Johannesburg, South Africa; Mrs. Shterna Rodal – Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. Breina Popack – Tzfas, ER”Y; Rabbi Leibel Baumgarten – Hamptons, NY; Rabbi Sholom Ber Baumgarten – Crown Heights; Rabbi Zalman Baumgarten – Crown Heights; Mrs. Chanale Posner – Plantation, FL; Mrs. Tzirl Suede – Mexico; Rabbi Levi Baumgarten – Crown Heights; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place on Sunday, leaving Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at around 11:00 am and passing by 770 around 12:00. Right after 770, they will go by Kahal Chassidim (Baumgarten Shul).
The family will be sitting Shiva at 1608 Carroll Street.

Shacharis: Two Minaynim at 7:15, two Minyanim at 8:20 one at 9:00
Mincha and Mariv: bezmana
