With great sadness, we regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Eliyahu Cohen, OB”M, a Mashpia in the Montreal community and a professor of Mathematics in a local university. He passed away on Monday, Hei Shvat. He was 79-years-old.
Rabbi Cohen was known for his Shiurim to the French speaking members of Anash in deep concepts on Chassidus.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rochel Cohen and his children: Rabbi Mendy Cohen, Sacramento, CA; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Cohen, Chicago, IL; Rabbi Sholom Ber Cohen, Montreal, Canada; Mrs. Esther Teichtel, Nashville, TN and R’ Shmuel Cohen, Montreal, Canada, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
