With great sadness we regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Chaim Shmuel Menachem Mendel (Mulle) Liberow, OB”M, a Shliach in London and patriarch of a large Lubavitch family. He passed away on Tuesday, Vov Nissan. He was 92-years-old.
Rabbi Liberow was the eldest son of the Mashpia, R’ Saadya Liberow, and the son in law of the renowned Mashpia, R’ Mendel Futerfas.
His wife Dabrusha was tragically killed in a car crash in the year 5731, leaving him to raise 11 children. He was injured in the accident as well, and the name Chaim was added to his name.
He is survived by his children, Yosef Yitzchok – Kfar Chabad; ER”Y; Sarah Weingarten – Grand Rapids, MI; Rivka Sheina Pevzner – Crown Heights; Esther Groner – Kiryat Gat, ER”Y; Rochel Devorah Kesselman – London, England; Bluma Eidelman – Paris, France; Bentzion – Melbourne, Australia; Schneur Zalman – Flatbush, NY; Avrohom Levi – Worcester, MA; Sholom Ber – Monsey, NY; Yisroel – Crown Heights; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of them Shluchim around the world.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Sholom Ber of Brunoy, Rabbi Sender of Manchester, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Antwerp and Mrs. Frieda Zirkind of Montreal. (Please do not inform them of the passing)
