With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Binyomin Althaus, OB”M. He passed away early Friday morning, the 10th of Shevat. He was 85-years-old.
Reb Binyomin was the son of the well-known Chossid, R’ Pinyeh Althaus, OB”M. He merited many kiruvim from the Rebbe and Bais Harav.
He was from the first Bochurim to arrive from Eretz Yisroel to the Rebbe after Yud Shevat 5750 and merited to have the Rebbe be Mesader Kidushin and participate in his wedding in 1953.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Tema Althaus and children Shoshana Korn – Queens, NY; Esther Raitman – Melbourne, Australia; Rivka Sanders – NY, NY; as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The levaya will take place today, Friday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at around 12:00pm and passing by 770 at approximately 1:00pm.
