With great sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Rabbi Avrohom Baruch Junik, OB”M, he was well-known for his knowledge in Halacha and Minhagei Chabad. Rabbi Junik passed away on Friday, 19 Adar. He was 60 years old.
Rabbi Junik suffered for some time with a terrible illness.
Rabbi Junik was the son of the Meshamesh of the Rebbe, Rabbi Berl Junik, OB”M, who was famous for filling the Rebbe’s cup by Kos Shel Brocho.
He is survived by his wife Cipi and children; Eliyahu Junik – Vermont; Chana Junik – Crown Heights; Sara Cohen – Crown Heights; Levik Junik – Crown Heights and Golda Junik – Crown Heights.
He is also survived by his mother Mrs. Fruma Junik, who will not be told before Shabbos about the passing.
He is also survived by his brothers Yosef Yitzchok Junik – Crown Heights; Shimshon Aaron Junik – Crown Heights; Nechama Itkin – Pittsburgh, PA; Meir Shlomo Junik – Crown Heights; Menachem Mendel Junik – London, England; Dovid Junik – Crown Heights and Chanie Spielman – Crown Heights.
The Levaya will take place Sunday, leaving Boro Park at 12:00 and passing by 770 around 1:15 PM.
The family is sitting Shiva at 501 Crown St.
Davening times are as follows:
Shacharis 7:30am and 9:00am; Mincha 6:45pm; Marriv 7:45pm
The family requests that visitors refrain from coming after 9:30pm.
