With great sadness we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of R’ Chaim New, OB”M, a Lubavitcher businessman and activist in the Chabad community of Melbourne, Australia. He passed away on Friday, 12 Shvat, 5776. He was 53 years old.
He was visiting New York and suffered a massive heart-attack early Friday morning.
He is survived by his wife Sheiny New (nee Friedman), their children R’ Dovid New – Boca Raton, FL; R’ Shimon New, Faygie New, Rikki New, Mushka New, Meir New and Kovi New, all of Melbourne Australia; and grandchildren.
He is also survived by his parents R’ Mendel and Assia New of Melbroune, Australia, and siblings Mrs. Sterna Gutnick – Melbourne, Australia; Rabbi Moishe New – Montreal, Canada; Rabbi Yossi New – Atlanta, GA; and Rabbi Ruvi New – Boca Raton, FL.
The Levaya will be passing by 770 iy”h at 11:00 am Monday 15th of B’Shvat (01/25/16) on the way to burial in Australia.
