R’ Avrohom Gershon Schmerling, a prominent member of the Chabad community in Zurich, Switzerland, passed suddenly yesterday, 3 Av.
He was a pillar in Zurich’s ‘Beth Chabad’, where he was often seen learning and davening. He was a regular at the shul’s shiurim and finished Shas multiple times in his life.
He is survived by his wife Shulamis, and 2 daughters. He is also survived by his brother Akiva Schmerling. He was predeceased by his brother R’ Levi Yitzchok Schmerling A’H.
He was buried in Chelkas Chabad on Har Hazaysim in Yerushalayim.
