From France this morning came the news of the passing of R’ Shlomo Sitbon, following his battle with a serious illness at the age of 72.
While the doctors gave him only 4 months to live due to his serious illness, he lived for more than three years.
The Chabad community in France knew R’ Shlomo well, performing as a drummer at many celebrations such as bar mitzvahs, weddings, Melava Malkas and other concerts by Avraham Fried, Mordechai Ben David and other singers, whom he accompanied as a drummer. R’ Shlomo is considered a world-renowned musician.
He was also known for his virtues, courtesy and humility with which he was endowed.
He is survived by his five children.
The deceased is the brother of the Chabad singer R. Aharon Sitbon.
