An 8-year-old child R”L died in Williamsburg, Wednesday evening, after falling from an upper floor of a building.
Hatzolah was called at 7:40PM to reports of a child off an upper floor of a building at 200 Wallabout Street, near Lee Avenue.
Arriving units reported a child in traumatic arrest, and Paramedics began working on the child.
The child was transported to Brooklyn Hospital with Hatzolah, but was R”L pronounced dead a few moments later.
Sources told YWN that the child may have fallen from as high as the 5th floor.
Police were on the scene investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Tragically, the child was a Yasom, having lost his mother just two years ago.
