Crown Heights Shmira would like to welcome all the Rebbe’s Shluchos and their guests that are visiting this weekend for the yearly Global Shluchos Convention. Below are a few security and safety tips we would like to share with you.
- Walk in groups when possible and always be aware of your surroundings
- When using your cell phone, be extra alert
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicle
- Keep money and passports in a safe location
- Don’t carry large amounts of cash
- Label suitcases with name and contact information
- Do not leave bags unattended, even for a second
- If you are planning to drive, be sure to check if your license is valid in the US
- Keep Shmira’s number saved on speed dial
- If you witness or are involved in an incident, call Shmira right away while keeping an eye on the perpetrators from a safe distance.
In light of recent attacks, Crown Heights Shmira in conjunction with the NYPD 71st Precinct will be stepping up patrols in the area.
