1,000 Women Attend Largest Challah Bake In Montreal

1,000 Women from all Jewish communities in Montreal joined a Mega Challah-Baking in memory of the 2 Shluchos and the Shliach who passed away this year ● Full Story, Pictures

1000 Women united from all the Jewish communities in Montreal, for an evening of Hafroshas Challa L’Ilui Nishmas the 2 shluchos, and shliach who passed away this year.

There was an awesome feeling of unity, and women from all sorts of backgrounds sat together. The program included a Rebbe video, personal story of the Koach of women getting together to do the Mitzvah of Hafroshas Challa. The three Mitzvos of the woman were discussed, and the zchus and responsibility of the Jewish woman.

The place was set up beautifully, and it was very professional and organized. Each woman received individual containers with all the supplies needed to bake the Challah- including: An apron, metal bowl and spoon, gloves. It was all measured in advance.

The Rebbe’s Kapitel was recited, the meaning of the Challah ingredients discussed, and there was a musical entertainment. The main speaker was Mrs. Sara Raskin, Shlucha in Montreal who spoke very eloquently about the Mitzvos of the woman, what the Rebbe says of the woman, Moshiach, and Chai Elul.

L’chaim was recited and Tzeddaka was given by each woman.

There was only space for 1000 women, and there were another few hundred women who tried signing up, but it was full.
