I find his answer to be entirely apologetic. He didn’t even mention for the sake of clarity even one scenario where the Yid is considered a Mechalel Shabbos and would be oiser the wine. BTW his position contradicts a clear hoiroh of the Rebbe who said although regarding some issues we consider some yidden Tinok Shenishba lepoyel the person is mechalel Shabbos and Yainoi is Ossur. According to the chumra, if they just look at a wine that is used for Kiddush its problematic.. That is why the Rebbe always had his wine covered at Farbrengens.
