A large group consisting of both locals from nearby Ukrainian Jewish communities, as well as out of country guests, convened last night in Hadtich, the location of the holy Ohel of the Alter Rebbe, whose yahrtzeit is today, 24 Teves. Yidden could be found in the Ohel, in the beautiful shul up the hill learning chassidus, or in the facility’s upscale kosher restaurant farbrenging. In honor of the auspicious day of Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and Alter Rebbe, the Chabad community of Odessa, Ukraine travelled several hours to spend Shabbos Parshas Ki Seitzei in Haditch, the resting place of the Alter Rebbe.
