The Kinus Theme, And What’s Behind It

The Va’ad HaKinus has chosen the theme for this year’s convention: “The Gate To Shlichus” ● What’s behind the theme? ● Read More

Kinus Hashluchim 5775, the International Conference of Shluchim, is less than three weeks away, and the Va’ad HaKinus is busy preparing this year’s Kinus, which promises to be bigger and better than the previous ones.

Wednesday afternoon, 26th of Cheshvan (November 19th), Shluchim will register for the Kinus, receiving their badge and a gift to accompany them during the Kinus, which will continue until Sunday Night, Rosh Chodesh Kislev (November 23rd).

After consultation with veteran Shluchim and Mashpiim, the Va’ad HaKinus has chosen the theme for this year’s convention: “The Gate To Shlichus.” What’s behind the theme?

In a conversation with ChabadInfo.com a member of the Va’ad Hakinus shared what’s behind the theme:

In the last Sicha the Rebbe said for Kinus HaShluchim, in the year 5752, the Rebbe said that the mission of the Shluchim is “to prepare the world for the coming of Moshiach,” which means that the purpose of every action and activity has to be for the goal of bringing Moshiach, hence Moshiach is the “gate” to Shlichus.

Among the many sessions of the Kinus, we will have a special series of 10 sessions, connecting each of the 10 Mivtzoim to Moshiach, and giving the Shluchim practical tools on bringing the message of Moshiach whenever performing a Mitzvah.
