On the seventh night of Chanukah the Port Authority held its annual World Trade Center Menorah Lighting sponsored by the Port Authority Shomrim Society.
Port Authority Police Lieutenant Scot Pomerantz, President of the PAPD Shomrim Society welcomed the over 100 guests to the World Trade Center site and spoke about the meaning of rededicating a Menorah at the site.
Rabbi Mendy Carlebach, Chaplain of the Port Authority then spoke about Chanukah and introduced the Deputy Executive Director Deb Gramiccioni.
Followed by remarks of representatives of Governors Chris Christie and Andrew Coumo, Police Superintendent Mike Fedorko and Deputy Superintendent Ed Cetnar spoke and helped light the Shamash .
Following the ceremony guests were treated to a lavish catered Chanukah dinner.
