At the initiative of Chief Rabbi of Chile, Rabbi Menashe Perman Shlita, several initiatives were undertaken to Change the Kosher Lanscape in Chile, by producing Cholov Yisroel. and now bringing Lubavitcher Shechita.
To strengthen the Jewish communities in the country and one of them is the Lubavitcher Shechita that was carried out by the Rabbi Eliyahu Ezagui of Crown Heights (who arrived from Cuba) for a Shechita in Chile.
To go back a little, Rabbi Meir Nochum Chechelnitzky A”H was the first in the country of Chile to engage with Rabbi Perman in kosher, leading the first kosher food Shechita of poultry, and Cholov Yisroel milk to Chile, together with his family members Yitzchak and his brother Yosef Uri Chechelnitzky.
Together with his father-in-law of Rabbi Perman, Shmuel Rabin, who is now engaged in kosher scene, said that it has been over fifteen years in the country that there has not been kosher slaughter, strictly Lubavitch Shechita, which is the kosher meat needed to satisfy all the Chilean communities.
And from now on the community will create a local Shechita factory in Chile, to take away the need to import, therefore giving the possibility to buy meat at a cheaper rate.
