    Second Letter, Chidon Bans Unvaccinated

With a very broken heart, I am forced to share this shattering news with the public. Our medical director has instructed us for the safety of all involved that, we can not allow any Chayol or Staff Member who has not had at least one vaccination for measles, at least 3 weeks ago, to attend the Chidon. Updated LetterFull Letter

    Update:

    Dear Parents,

Our Medical Director has updated us that after long discussions with other medical professionals and the department of health, they will allow any child who is vaccinated.

The Chidon will now allow any child who has been vaccinated as long your school is ok with them coming.

That means even if they are vaccinated today they will be able to join.

We know this is a big change of plan and will be causing much frustration to those who canceled their travel plans. We sincerely apologize.

With a very broken heart, I am forced to share this shattering news with the public.

Our medical director has instructed us for the safety of all involved that, we can not allow any Chayol or Staff Member who has not had at least one vaccination for measles, at least 3 weeks ago, to attend the Chidon.

While I can not believe I am writing this note and my heart goes out for these children this is not something that is up for discussion. The decision is final. This includes children who have traveled from the other side of the world.

Each and every school will now be responsible to confirm their participants are immunized in order for them to participate.

At the same time, we are very committed to do whatever we can for these children who can’t join. We will make sure they get their chidon sweater, take a test and get their proper reward.

We will do what ever else we can for them.

However we can not have them join in the actual chidon.

We strongly believe that this is a challenge that Hashem is giving us. The point of every challenge is to overcome it and then it lifts us up to new heights.

While we currently do not see the good, we know that Hashem loves us more than a father loves an only child and only does good for us.

May Hashem help that we see only good בטוב הנראה והנגלה with coming of Moshiach may it be now.

Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum on behalf of the Tzivos Hashem Administration.
