During the pandemic, ChabadAid Nigeria has been working actively to provide humanitarian aid to local communities. Throughout the last 15 months, the unique organization has been consistently providing access to new sources of pure, clean water and education to Nigerian children.

Inspired by the vital work done by ChabadAid, three prominent local, non-Jewish businessmen to come forward and donate to the Charidy campaign to open the new Chabad House in Lagos, the business capital of Nigeria.

The new Nigerian Chabad house was recently founded during the height of the pandemic by Rabbi Mendy and Mazal Sternbach. Just as the world was shutting down, Chabad of Nigeria took the initiative to expand their successful activities to a whole new scale by opening a second branch in Africa’s largest city.

The Sternbachs’ primary focus is to move into a building for the second Chabad Nigeria Preschool and Hebrew School to service children studying during the day in the American and French schools.
