The NYPD has arrested a suspect in the murder of 30-year-old Nissan Shalom.
As previously reported by VINnews, Shalom was stabbed to death on Tuesday Jan 10, in front of Kaché Restaurant and Lounge on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn. After stabbing Shalom, the perpetrator escaped the scene, heading in the direction of Quinton St., where he dropped his knife.
According to reports, police have arrested 34-year-old Brooklyn resident Ansel Payano in connection with the murder.
According to the NYPD, there is no current evidence of antisemitism being a factor in the murder.
