Yeshivas Kayitz Maui – a unique Camp experience filled with תוכן, excitement, and fun. Aimed at providing a Yiddishe and Chassidishe filled summer for Bochurim coming out of Shiur Beis and Gimmel Mesivta who are looking to take a break from the mainstream programs. Our fun and unforgettable camp experience will aim to help the Bochurim grow both physically and spiritually while promoting self-esteem, independence, friendship, and responsibility.
We are perched on a macadamia nut farm in Wailuku on the West Maui Mountains. Ancient streams flow down the mountain and surround our property on all sides, creating an “island on an island”. The peaceful sound of flowing water creates an all-encompassing feeling of relaxation and peace.
Nestled among massive mango trees, banana groves, avocado and starfruit trees, not to mention coffee bean, fresh fruit is plentifully available for the picking. The macadamia fields are a short walk away and views of the ocean can be glimpsed from our lanai.
The bochurim will get a “once in lifetime experience” by experiencing what it’s like to live in Hawaii. Living on a farm in Maui the 2nd largest of the Hawaiian Islands.
Directed by Rabbi Mendel and Chani Zirkind (nee Marcus) a Lubavicher couple that actually live there and experience it every day. They will be joined by Mendel Prescott (Queens, NY), Mendel Zirkind (Crown Heights), and Tani Krasnjanski (Five Towns) a group of experienced and dedicated Chassidishe bochurim, which will lead a solid learning schedule, side by side with amazing and inspiring trips and activities, all while encouraging independence, responsibility, self-esteem, and more.
The bochurim will learn the practical הלכות of living on farm, get to watch and learn the intricacies of שחיטה and כשרות from farm to table, and much more.
From experiencing sunrise and Davening from 10,000 feet, to snorkeling in the beautiful reefs surrounding the island, to taking in breathtaking views as you zip-line over the ocean and trees. The bochurim will a gain a new respect and appreciation for the wonders that Hashem created.
