The search for 35-year-old David Kook began on Tuesday night, as he was last seen on Monday night, the eve of 17 Elul.

A command center was established in the Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph neighborhood as police and volunteers are taking part in the search, which is still ongoing.

David was last seen at 11:00PM on Monday night after returning from work. He left home with a knapsack and Tefilin and has not been seen since. At 9:00AM on Tuesday, police pinged his cellphone, signaling its location being the area of the abandoned rock quarry in Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph. David speaks Spanish and a bit of Hebrew, and wears glasses as seen in the photo, and has a thick black beard. He disappeared with his vehicle, a gray Citroen C4.

When David did not return home on Tuesday evening, the search began, with many residents taking part. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 02-990-2223 or 100.
