Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party emerges from exit polls in Israel’s unprecedented fourth general election in two years as the Knesset’s biggest, but the incumbent remains shy of a clear majority.

If it agrees to join a Netanyahu-led coalition, Naftali Bennett’s Yamina party could tip the scales.

Meanwhile, the anti-Netanyahu bloc, a motley crew of left, right and centrist factions, currently looks to have even fewer paths to forming a coalition.

Out of four parties flirting with the electoral threshold, three are projected to make it into the Knesset, while the United Arab List, headed by Mansour Abbas, is set to stay out of parliament.
