Paris: Creteil Celebrates Hachnosas Sefer Torah in Memory of Beloved Doctor

On Sunday, 22 Teves, January 15th, in Creteil, France (a southeastern commune of Paris) took place a Hachnosas Sefer Torah im Memory of Dr. Yitzchak Bokobza A”H, a local Chassidishe and beloved doctor.
His passing had had a strong impact on the community, it was during the difficult period of COVID that the community had learned the terrible news of the sudden departure of Dr. Bokobza, on 10 Nissan 5780, until then he was in good health. Even his family was not allowed to attend his burial in Israel, only through Zoom.
People still talk about him, they remember their doctor who did not count the time for them, his office was open at all hours, he was concerned above all with their well-being. Both adults and children are still marked, he cared for them with a smile and excellence.
The whole community of Creteil gathered on Sunday, 22 Teves for his memory: he was close to everyone. Joy and emotion were the master feelings of the day. (By hashgacha pratis, the week the Hachnosas Sefer Torah took place was Parshas Va’eira, which is be’gematria of Yitzchak – 208).
The Hachnosas Sefer Torah took place at consistorial Shul of Creteil, where the doctor’s father was involved in. the last letters were sold there.
Joining the hachnosas Sefer Torah were Rabonim from across Paris, and community representatives from local shuls, Rosh Kollel Rabbi Zerbib, and Albert Elharrar the president of the community of Creteil.
Then the procession accompanied the Sefer Torah walking towards the Beis Chabad; on foot and by car; the chabad house that Dr. Bokobza saw that was built up throughout his lifetime. The Sefer Torah was finally inaugurated there with Hakofos, and with a concluded with a farbrengen.
