Bris Avrohom Hosts Shabbaton

On Friday & Shabbos, 8th Grade Talmidim of the United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, Crown Street, Brooklyn had a grand Shabbaton hosted by Rabbi Mordechai and Mrs. Shterney Kanelsky, Bris Avrohom’s Executive Director and Associate Director, at their home in honor of their son Zalmy’s graduation and Shnas Hakhel.
On Friday the boys enjoyed swimming, sports and other activities and were treated to Pizza, french fries, ice cream and refreshments.
On Shabbos the festivities continued at the Bris Avrohom Center Cong. Shomrei Torah/Ohel Yosef Yitzchok where they enjoyed davening with a surprise guest, Lipa Schmeltzer who led the congregation with chassidishe niggunim which encouraged the boys to join in.
Throughout the day they had learning sessions and Farbrengens with Rabbi & Mrs. Kanelsky as well as with Rabbi Avremy Kanelsky, Zalmy’s brother. Interspersed with these sessions they had elaborate and sumptuous Shabbos meals and snacks. It was an inspirational and uplifting weekend to remember!
A tremendous appreciation and hakaras hatov is extended to Rabbi Y. Simpson, Principal of the Yeshiva, as well as his board who graciously subsidized this Hakhel Shabbaton.
