Manila: Chabad Brings the Light of Chanukah to 25 Million

The first night of Chanukah began with many lights at Chabad of Manila, Philippines!
Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Levy, Shliach of the Rebbe MH”M and Chief Rabbi to the Philippines, ensured that Jews throughout the region would experience the light of the Holiday and the light of Redemption in its’ capital city of around 25 million population.
The programs began with a party for the community as well as travelers at the Chabad House with a special event for children, Torah classes, and delicious treats for all the guests.
After the party, Rabbi Yossi visited homes of Jews who live in the nearby neighborhoods to light the Menorah with them and share some words of Torah.
The first day of Chanukah began with Torah classes and prayers at the Chabad House with a breakfast buffet open to all, as well as sending additional donuts and Menorahs to Jews around Manila.
During the day, a Chanukah party and placing new mezuzot was celebrated in the offices of Jews in the community.
The evening was filled with a delicious meal, prayers and Torah classes, another party for children, a central Menorah lighting and special Farbrengen.
