The Jewish judge of New York, Mr. Frederick Block, issued another ruling Monday, July 25, in the long legal saga waged over the Kehos logo’s use. Where Merkos sued Vaad L’hafotzas Sichos in an attempt to prevent them from publishing the Rebbe’s Seforim, including the Lekutei Sichos, with the Kehos logo.

As we reported about a half a year ago, the Judge heard the arguments of both parties and analyzed many documents that were presented by both sides to the court, before ruling that he is dismissing the suit, without any conditions, effectively handing a win to Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos, which will be allowed henceforth to use the Kehos logo.

After this took place, Merkos requested from the Judge to look over his ruling claiming that his ruling was unjust, asking that he rethinks the decision.

The Judge agreed to look over the ruling, however once again left the same ruling in favor of Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos.

Director of Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos R’ Zalman Chanin expressed satisfaction with the outcome, which essentially allows Vaad L’Hafotzas Sichos – which the Rebbe entrusted with publishing his works – to continue to print the Rebbe’s Torah with the Kehos logo, as it deserves.
