Tonight at 8:30PM: As in previous years, this year Zo’s Hanukkah will be celebrated with an evening of thanksgiving – an expression of Hoda’ah, Simcha and Chizuk of Emunah and Bitachon – in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the miraculous release of R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin from a place called Prison on Zos Chanukah 5778.

It’s important to keep reliving and celebrating moments like Zos Hanukkah 5778. This was a powerful reminder that when we have Emunah and Bitachon in Hashem, He will surely send our Yeshuah even if we are the few or the weak with no hope of victory naturally. And we need reminders, not to mention guidance, on how to live a life guided by this Emunah and this Bitachon.

    We all need Yeshuos.

Learning – and remembering – to see Hashem’s hand in our lives gives us the clarity and strength to proceed as a Yid should. It’s also a Zechus itself that makes us deserve to see Nissim. By correctly attributing our salvation to Hashem, writes the Maharal, we become the kind of people Hashem wants to work miracles for.

Last year’s celebration left a strong impression on the more than 1,500 participants. The main part of the event – Words of Chizuk and Divrei Torah – was insightful and thought-provoking, and the panel discussion that followed addressed FAQs and questions specifically asked for the panel, and shed new light on how to the clarity and strength brought by Bitachon can relate to real, everyday situations.

As one participant put it: “The sparkling celebrations are usually about defeating external enemies or salvation from extraordinary situations, but the strength and victory we find in Hashem and the Torah apply just as surely to our inner struggles and our worldly challenges. ”

“This event inspired me to start a new Shiur in Shaar HaBitachon, which has really changed the way I approach all aspects of my life. I must say that in the past year I have seen practical Yeshuos in my life and I attribute it all to my strengthened Emunah and Bitachon.”

This is one of the main goals of the organizers – to strengthen the study and practical application of the principles of Torah as set forth in Shaar HaBitachon and other Torah sources. Over the past year, the study of Shaar HaBitachon has exploded for both men and women, and we’re sure this year’s event will have an even bigger impact.

Last year’s inspiration has been accompanied by niggunim, sometimes heartfelt and stirring and sometimes joyous and uplifting. This year’s event will feature music by Yossi Cohen and rousing niggunim by Isaac Honig which is sure to lift the spirits.
