Between the busy seasons of the month of Tishrei and the Kinus Hashluchim that will be taking place in less than two weeks, ChabadInfo.com photographer Shmuel Amit, used the opportunity to do some ‘Bikur Hamosdos’ and visit some of the Chabad Houses in Mexico.

After Amit’s first two stops that ChabadInfo.com reported a few days ago to Playa del Carmen, and to Cozumel, he continued to his next stop.

His third stop was to the Chabad House of Isla Mujeres, directed and ran by Rabbi and Mrs. Mendy Dayan and Rabbi and Mrs. Yossi Ben-Shimon. Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. It’s a vacation destination known for beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs.

The Shluchim of Isla Mujeres, together with the help of a few Bochurim work around the clock to help all of the Yidden in Isla Mujeres, including the locals, tourists and the thousands of Israeli backpackers that come through the doors annually.

The Chabad House of Isla Mujeres, Mexico opened its doors a few years ago, and are consistently growing in their activities. During some parts of the year they serve such large quantities that they need two shifts for Shabbos or Yom Tov meals.
