Grand Opening for Ramon Airport’s Chabad

Earlier today, a special ‘Grand Opening’ took place in the new Ramon Airport, the international airport located in the city of Eilat in southern Israel. Ramon Airport is the second largest in Israel and has replaced the former Eilat Airport and Ovda Airport for civilian traffic.
Following the airport opening its doors several months ago, Yisrael Katz, member of the Knesset for Likud, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave his word that they would allow a Chabad stand at the new airport, similar to the popular Chabad stand at the Ben Gurion Airport.
After months of efforts, and with the help of several influencers, the new Chabad House located in the center of the Eilat airport held its ‘Grand Opening’. The Chabad House will be directed by the Rebbe’s Shliach, Rabbi Levi Lipsch.
At the ceremony held Sunday afternoon many participated, including the senior Shliach and Rov of the city of Eilat, Rabbi Yosef Hecht, and the Knesset member and Minister of Transportation, Bezalel Smotrich, as well as Yisrael Katz, Knesset member and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
