Just moments ago, Eshel’s much heralded Charidy campaign has crossed the finish line, proving to be a huge success despite the very bold goal of raising one million dollars.

Thanks to the generous contributions of the community and Anash the world over, Eshel will be able to continue in their noble mission of servicing the thousands of guests who’ve come to spend Tishrei with the Rebbe.

Donations poured in from around the globe as dozens of volunteers tirelessly worked the phones in a final push to make it over the finish line before the 24 hour period expires.

Eshel wishes to thank each contributor, nay, partner, for their generous and giving spirit. Additionally, and not least important, Eshel thanks profusely the three ‘Matchers’, philanthropists R’ Sholom Ber Drizin, R’ Shlomo Kalish, and R’ Yitzchak Mirilashvili through his Keren Meromim foundation, and their friends, who’ve each donated a quarter of the entire sum – $1,015,658(!), and more important, made the entire campaign possible.

In addition Eshel would like to thank R’ Dovid Rogatzky, who has been the matcher for the bonus round.

Eshel Director Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hakohen Hendel personally thanks the organizers of the campaign: Rabbi Avaraham Rainitz, Rabbi Shraga Crombie, Rabbi Chanoch Chaskind, R’ Aholiav Abutbul, as well as the Directors of the Charidy website, for their great work and tireless efforts for the success of this campaign.

Eshel would also like to thank the Bochurim who helped tremendously Chaim Tuito, Shmuly Kaygen, Yossi Eliov and Menachem Rachimi.
