The Mechina Division of Oholei Torah sponsored a Father and Son day in Yeshiva this past Sunday morning.

The day began with learning Chassidus, father and son B’chavrusa, followed by shacharis. A beautiful buffet breakfast was served, and afterwards Rabbi Wilhelm announcing the new mivtzah gemara makos baal peh with special incentives for the talmidim. Devar Torahs were delivered by hatomim Sholom Kugel, Mendel Rapaport and Sholom Lerman.

One of the talmidim’s father, a therapist, Dr. Daniel Schonbuch, LMFT spoke about fathers spending quality time with their son. He also touched upon safeguarding and limiting the internet use with filters and the like.

Fathers joined their sons in a shiur of Gemara. They were given over, simultaneously, by Magidei Shiurim whom are Rabbi L. Borenstein, Rabbi A Oster, Rabbi L. Feldman, Rabbi Z. Itkin.

Many of the fathers said that it was a wonderful way to see how the yeshiva functions on a regular day, and were most inspired by the dedicated staff and teachers of the Mechina division.

Thank you to all the wonderful Mechanchim, Rabbi Wilhelm, Rabbi Itkin and a thank you to OTEG director Rabbi Yossi Bryski.
