“Toldos Rabbi Moshe ben Admor Ha’Zakein” is about the life of the Alter Rebbe’s son who had to leave the environs of the beis medrash and run for his life, spending the rest of his life in exile We spoke with the author of the book, Rabbi Eliyahu Matusof, who clarified the facts about a subject that engaged many people in controversy over the last 200 years • By Beis Moshiach Magazine • Full Article
Prior to the current Russian-Ukrainian war, thousands of people would flock to Haditch year-round to daven at the tziyun of the Alter Rebbe, but for more than 200 years, great efforts were made to preserve the sanctity of the place and to maintain a “ner tamid” there. • Over the years there were full-time shamashim who lived nearby and brought pidyonos there that were sent from all over Russia by the Chassidim. A fascinating historical overview providing a glimpse into Haditch since the time of the passing of the Alter Rebbe • Full Article
From Beis Moshiach: Colel Chabad is a charity over two centuries old. It was founded by the Alter Rebbe to support the Chassidim who moved to Eretz Yisrael and its first method of fundraising was none other than the good old tin can that we still use to this day in our kitchens (with upgraded design, of course…) • Special for 24 Teves • Full Article

One of them was regarding how the Raavad’s glosses, which contain sharply worded critique on the Rambam’s rulings, were published in the standard Rambam editions • Special for Chof Teves – The Yom Hiloula of the Rambam • Full Article
The Rebbe often refers to the Rambam as “the guide of the perplexed,” guiding the path for all the bewildered people unable to find the proper path in his own generation, and so too, in all other generations that followed. However, as the Rebbe pointed out on another occasion, the Rambam is currently residing in the higher world and therefore, “he needs that also in the lower world there be those who are involved in spreading his Torah teachings to the point of actual practice.” • In honor of the yartzeit of the Rambam on 20 Teves, we present a study of 14 — quite random — comparisons between the approach of the Rambam in his generation and the Rebbe in our generation, in response to a variety of issues • Full Article

From Beis Moshiach Magazine: Rabbi Teitz sat in thought and then suddenly jumped from his chair and went over to a desk drawer from where he removed a letter with a government logo on it. He waved it and said, “Oy, R’ Michel, R’ Michel, who knows, perhaps it was for a time like this that I attained a connection to kingship! • Full Article
