The Rebbe explains that for some secret reason G-D wanted to create dark & concealed places so that we can reveal G-D in those dark places.
The Rebbe continues to ask, however, why do we have been subjected to these challenges. The Rebbe says that thru Learning Torah we won’t need to deal with any challenges, darkness or concealment & we can accomplish G-Ds desire of bring light into the darkest places just by Learning Torah.
