With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Mordechai Belinow, OB”M, a senior Chabad rabbi in France. He passed away on Wednesday, 13 Teves. He was 78 years old.
Rabbi Belinow was born in small village in Russia, later escaped with his family to Paris. He studied in the Yeshiva of Brunoy, later in his life he returned there as part of the staff. He did much Shlichus in France over his years, specifically in the field of Halacha.
He is survived by his wife, Rebbetzin Sheina Rivka Belinow and children; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Belinow – Bnei Brak, Israel; Sarah Labkowski – Brunoy, France; Chaya Tiechtel – Pavé, France; Rabbi Yerachmiel Belinow – Bnei Brak, Israel; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Belinow – S. Denis, France; Rabbi Avrohom Osher Belinow – Elad, Israel and Rabbi Yisroel Belinow – S. Denis, France.
He is also survived by his siblings; Rabbi Yitzchok Belinow – Milan, Italy; Baila Bronstein – Crown Heights; Chana Marasow – Crown Heights and Fruma Greenberg – Crown Heights.
The levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, in Bnei Brak.
