We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Michoel Namdar, OBM, beloved husband, father, grandfather and Shliach from Milan, Italy, and more recently lived in Crown Heights, passed away on Wednesday, 17 Shevat.
He was 67 years old.
Michoel was part of a prominent family that was a driving force in Milan, Italy by helping in establishing the local Chabad House. And had a unique relationship with the Rebbe.
He was heavily involved in bring hundreds of Jewish students out of Iran under the guise of traveling to America to study.
He was a member of the Chevra Kadisha in both Milan and Crown Heights.
He is survived by his wife Perel (nee Altein) and their children Menachem Namdar – Crown Heights; Levy Namdar – Crown Heights; Chanie Mockin – Montreal, Canada; Toba Leah Golomb – Crown Heights; Devora Rivkah Namdar; and Daniel Namdar.
He is also survived by his mother Mrs. Malka Namdar, and siblings Yisroel Namdar – Milan; Rachel Vardi – Tel Aviv; Batsheva Chamami – Rechovot; Shmuel Namdar – Long Island; and Rabbi Alexander Namdar– Gothenburg, Sweden.
He was predeceased by his father Refael OBM and his brother Daniel OBM.

The family is sitting Shiva is at 1408 Union St.
Hours: Shacharis 8:00; 9:00. Mincha: 5:00. Maariv: Bizmano. Visiting hours: Between 9.00 – 12:00pm and from 3.00pm until 9:00pm.
