With great sadness, we regret to inform you of the untimely passing of Rabbi Chaim Gurevitch OB”M of Crown Heights, a member of the board of Kolel Chabad. He was 62.
Rabbi Gurevitz, a native of Kfar Chabad, has contacted Jews from all backgrounds over the years and mobilized them to partake in the activities of Kolel Chabad.
He traveled earlier this week, as part of his work for Kolel Chabad, to distribute Matzah in New Jersey. On the way, his vehicle was involved in a serious car accident and he was badly injured. Jews around the world Davened for his recovery over the last day, but on Tuesday, Gimmel Nissan he passed away from his injuries.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freida – who lost her two parents in the past year to Covid. He is also survived by his sons and daughters who serve as Shluchim of the Rebbe around the world, and his mother, brothers and sisters.
