With great sadness we inform of the passing of Mrs. Rivka Dina Chein, OB”M, a member of the Crown Heights Community, who passed away on Monday. Mrs. Chein was 90 years old.
She was born and raised in the town of Nevel, in Russia.
She married R’ Peretz Chein and was Moser Nefesh for Yiddishkeit, raised her family in the Soviet Union.
Following her husband Peretz’s passing, she immigrated to New York, where she became the cook for the Bochurim in Lubavitcher Yeshiva at 1414 President Street for almost two decades. She later remarried Rabbi Yehoshua Belsky.
She is survived by her children; Feivish Chein – Crown Heights; Meir Chein – Crown Heights; and Bella Vais – Brooklyn, NY. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shiva will be held at 646 Montgomery St. in Crown Heights.
