A new book for children, about the difficult challenges faced by some Chassidim and their heroic actions: Insisting on eating only Kosher when there was barely any food at all, putting on Tefillin in the middle of war, teaching Torah when it was forbidden, and putting themselves in danger to help others.
Baruch Hashem, we don’t face challenges like these today. We don’t have to worry about Nazis chasing us or the Russian KGB stopping us from observing Mitzvos.
But we face other types of challenges.
We each know and feel our own challenges. Whether it’s the difficulty to share, to learn Torah outside of school, or to do Mitzvos with all our energy.
Let’s take a lesson from these stories of heroic Chassidim and dedicate ourselves to Torah and Mitzvos even when it’s difficult. We too can staunchly hold on to Yiddishkeit, no matter what stands in our way.
